Blindness caused by poverty is often curable — but only when help reaches in time.
What we do
Foundation Light is a Dutch non-profit (ANBI registered) that funds mobile eye clinics in Kenya. Together with medical partners and volunteer professionals, we provide screenings and life-changing cataract surgeries for people who would otherwise stay blind.
Every restored sight changes more than one life — it changes an entire family’s future.
Why it matters:
When someone can see again, they can work, children can return to school, and families regain dignity and independence.
How it works:
Our doctors volunteer their time and our partners support the medical side — your donation covers essential costs like medicines, transport, and logistics, making surgery possible for as little as $50
One surgery costs only $50. One donation restores a lifetime of sight.

SHARING IS MULTIPLYING
Together, small acts of compassion grow into life-changing impact.
TOGETHER WE MAKE PEOPLE SEE
A moment that changes everything
For many people we meet, blindness did not come from disease that cannot be treated — but from poverty and lack of access to medical care. A short operation can restore sight within minutes, yet without support it remains out of reach.
When vision returns, people see their families again, walk independently, return to work, and reconnect with their community. One restored life often lifts an entire family out of dependency.
Our mobile eye clinics travel to remote areas in Kenya, where volunteer surgeons perform screenings and cataract operations for those who would otherwise remain blind. Together with our medical partners, we make these surgeries possible safely and efficiently.
Your support turns compassion into action.
With €50, you can help someone see again — and bring light back into a life.
